Say it anonymously.
Reveal only if you want.
Share a time-limited link in your story and collect honest, anonymous messages. Love one? Ask who sent it. They decide whether to reveal themselves, and nobody else ever can.

ask me anything,

Anonymous
your laugh is honestly the best part of my day
@ananya.k wants to know who you are
How it works
Two sides, one simple loop
Creators collect the messages. Senders keep control of who they are. Here's what each side does.
If you're sharing the link
For creators
- 1
Create a link
Write a prompt like “ask me anything” and choose how long it stays open, from 1 hour to 3 days.
- 2
Put it in your story
Paste it into Instagram's link sticker. Followers tap it and land straight on your page.
- 3
Let the messages pile up
You see the count climb, but the messages stay locked until the timer ends or you close the link early.
- 4
Read, then ask who
Love a message? Ask its sender to reveal themselves. You get 3 asks per link, so make them count.
If you're sending a message
For senders
- 1
Tap the link in their story
It opens right inside Instagram. There's nothing to install.
- 2
Say what you really think
No account needed. Send as a guest and you stay anonymous for good. One message per person, per link.
- 3
Want them to be able to ask? Sign in
Just your email and a one-time code. Then tick “let them ask who I am”. They still never see your email.
- 4
If they ask, you decide
Reveal your name, or stay masked. Either way, it's your call and it's final.
The reveal
The only way to unmask someone is to ask nicely
No guessing games, no paid hints, no tricks. A reveal is a request, and the sender is the only person who can say yes.
- 01
Sent anonymously
The message arrives with no name attached.
- 02
They ask
The creator picks a favourite. Only 3 asks per link.
- 03
You decide
You get the request on your Sent page. No pressure, no deadline.
- 04
Revealed, or not
Say yes and they see who you are. Say no and you stay masked for good.
Privacy
Your name stays yours.
Always your choice.
Anonymity only works if you can trust it. These aren't settings you have to find. They're how LowkeyAsk is built.
Hidden from creators
Creators see your message, never your name, username or email. Not while the link is open, not after it closes.
Reveals need your yes
A reveal request is only a question. Nothing about you is shared unless you tap “Reveal me”.
Opt out completely
Send as a guest, or turn off “let them ask”, and that message can never be revealed by anyone.
Your email stays with us
Guests don't need one at all. If you sign in, it's only used for that and never appears on links, messages or reveals.
No paid hints, ever
Nobody can pay to find out who you are. We don't sell clues about senders.
Minimal device data
To stop spam we keep scrambled one-way codes for your device and connection, never your actual IP address.
The details
Small rules that make it feel special
Links that expire
Like your story, every link has a timer: 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours or 3 days. Messages unlock together when it closes, so there's always a moment to look forward to.
message per person
One shot per link means no spam floods, and every message counts.
3 reveal asks per link
Creators can't ask everyone, so being asked actually means something. Out of everyone who wrote in, they picked you.
Works inside Instagram
LowkeyAsk runs in Instagram's own browser. Followers tap your link sticker and write straight away, with no app download.
Questions
Good to know
Is it really anonymous?
Yes. The creator sees the message text and nothing else. Your identity is only shown if they ask and you choose to reveal it.
Do I need an account to send a message?
No. Anyone can send one message per link as a guest, and guest messages can never be revealed. Sign in with a one-time email code if you'd like the creator to be able to ask who you are. Some creators choose to only accept signed-in senders.
What gets shown if I choose to reveal?
Your LowkeyAsk username and the name you set up. Nothing else, and never your email.
Will they know if I say no?
They'll see that the sender chose to stay anonymous, but never who you are. Your answer is final, so nobody can keep asking.
When can the creator read the messages?
When the link's timer runs out, or earlier if they close the link themselves. Until then, all messages stay locked.
Does it cost anything?
No. Creating links, sending messages and revealing are free.
Find out what they really think
Your link is ready in under a minute. Your followers' secrets stay theirs until they choose otherwise.
